This is a tiny daughterboard to hold an ICL7660s or MAX1044 charge pump IC with two reservoir capacitors, to provide a negative voltage rail. Useful for powering positive ground effects such as older fuzz pedals.
Just add the IC and the two capacitors, connect it to +9V, and you can get a -9V output along with ground and +9V, so it's useful for powering 18V circuits too.
Great for breadboarding positive ground effects too - just add header pins and sit it in the breadboard.
It also has two larger holes which you can solder directly to the back of a standard 2.1mm DC jack (see images), so it takes up even less room.
